CRA Change that may affect you. Please read!

Good afternoon,

The CRA has implemented a two-step verification process for authorizing a representative via Represent a Client. In order to have things run smoothly, I am asking that you take a couple minutes and make sure of a few things:

  1. Do you have a CRA user ID and password? You will need one.
  2. Are you signed up for My Business Account? During this process, make sure you have enabled email notifications.

The process does have step by step instructions on the CRA website.

You may need: your social insurance number, date of birth, current postal code, personal income tax returns from current and previous years and business number

For existing clients for whom we already have authorization, you will not be affected.
